DBT & Somatic Skills Group- Available in Person & Virtually

DBT Skills meet The Nervous System

Wise Mind, Wiser Body brings together two powerful bodies of work—DBT skills training and nervous system science—because neither one alone tells the whole story.

DBT gives you concrete, evidence-based skills for managing distress, regulating emotions, and navigating relationships. Polyvagal theory explains why those skills can feel impossible to access when your nervous system is flooded or shut down. Together, they create something more complete: skills that make sense in the body, not just the mind.

This group is for you if:

  • Your reactions feel bigger than the situation
  • You know what to do—but can't access it in the moment
  • You shut down, go numb, or disconnect under stress
  • You've done therapy and still feel stuck in the same patterns
  • You're ready to understand your nervous system and build real tools for change

This group runs for 20 weeks; each session runs for 60 minutes.

This group is not a substitute for individual therapy.

A DBT-Informed Somatic Skills Program for Adolescents

Adaptable is a skills group designed specifically for teens—built on the same evidence-based foundations as the adult skills program but translated into language that actually lands.

The program blends DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) with somatic and nervous system work. DBT teaches concrete skills for managing distress, working with emotions, and navigating relationships. Polyvagal theory helps explain why those skills can feel impossible to access when the nervous system is overwhelmed or shut down. Together, they offer something more complete: tools that work in the body, not just in theory.

This group is a good fit when:

  • Reactions feel bigger than the situation
  • Knowing what to do isn't the same as being able to do it in the moment
  • Stress shows up as shutdown, numbness, or disconnection
  • Emotions feel more intense than what others seem to experience
  • Past therapy or skills work hasn't translated into real change
  • There's a readiness to understand how the nervous system works and build tools that actually fit

Adaptable runs for 15 weeks. Each session is 60 minutes. For ages 16–18.

This group is not a substitute for individual therapy.
